The design of the apple peeler was unnecessarily com- plicated, with an excessive number of components (50) and difficult to assemble (8min assembly time)
The Problem
Concept Development
1. Swap needle and blade + Motorize
Switched position for easier apple installa- tion and peeling
The long needles at the base has a user safety risk, and a single fixture may not withstand the motor's torque
2. Add another fixture
3. Change the peeler mechanism
4. Integrate them!
